Here in the Travel and Tourism department, we are all keen travellers and even more keen on sharing our knowledge of this exciting industry with students at Trinity Academy.
Within this dynamic department, it is possible to study GCSE, BTEC and Applied AS and A2 courses, which cover a variety of different units from Customer Service to Resort Operations and from Employability Skills to Responsible Tourism.

BTEC First Travel and Tourism
This is a 7 unit course which is assessed through coursework alone and also allows the students to gain valuable work related knowledge through a variety of case studies and educational visits.

- Worldwide Destinations
- Planning a Visit
- Holiday Planning
- Group Project
Key Stage 5
Applied AS and A2 Travel and Tourism
Offered as a Single Award; this course comprises 6 units over the two years and allows students to study a range of subjects including Customer Service, Destination Europe, Working in Travel and Tourism and Current Issues in Travel and Tourism. The coursework is assessed in the majority through coursework with only one examination in each year of study.
