As a Head of Year, you will be able to demonstrate high quality pastoral care. Your role will be to ensure that each student in your year group is well cared for and makes outstanding academic progress, ensuring that high expectations are met with regards to behaviour across the year team.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high professional standards and excellent subject knowledge, with the ability to teach inspirational lessons across all key stages. You will have drive and determination and be able to engage and motivate students.
You will lead and equip a team of tutors so that they can carry out their role confidently and effectively and you will work hard to secure the best possible academic and personal outcomes for the students at Trinity Academy. Recognising and rewarding good achievement will be a focus, as will challenging poor achievement, behaviour and attendance. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with both students and parents to create an environment for students in which they are able to show respect, maturity and character, underpinned by a desire to do hard things.
