Trinity Academy students set their sights on top University places

Trinity Academy at Thorne is proud to announce that a particularly high proportion of its Sixth Form students have submitted UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) applications this year, with a number of students setting their sights on places at some of the country’s most prestigious higher education establishments.

In all, 53 applications have been submitted by students in Year 13, which equates to 66 per cent – or two thirds – of the entire year group!

The school’s Director of Sixth Form Paul Flint said: “I think the breadth of courses and institutions from which our students are receiving offers speaks volumes about the quality of the education we are providing our young people with.”

Among those students who have applied and received offers are Lydia Pike, who hopes to study English at the University of Cambridge; Olivia Jenkins, who would like to study Medicine at the University of Oxford; and Alix Young, who is hoping to go the prestigious Performers College in Essex.
